Hello Friends!
I was thrilled to see the new Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks available at my local CVS and immediately knew I had to pick a few up. At my CVS, they cost $10.49, which is a steep price for the drugstore. However, they were on sale: buy one, get one 50% off AND I had $10 ExtraBucks (from the rewards system at CVS). I did pick up another Revlon lip color to allow me to do the deal twice. With the deal and ExtraBucks, I only spent $23.07, placing me at about $5.77 per product (I’m perfectly fine with that). I know some others have found these lipsticks for $7 or $8. Please let me know if you find them inexpensively elsewhere!

There are 14 shades, in total, and they will become part of Revlon’s permanent collection (according to my research). I selected three colors to come home with me: Primrose, Petunia, and Iris (swatches pictured above). I don’t know a ton about the formula but I can say that they have a smooth finish and they are pigmented. They are not overly glossy and they are relatively moisturizing. Another pro: they smell amazing; I don’t know what it is but they have a sweet scent to them that I really like. I do not like the packaging though. Upon first swatch, I managed to mess up Iris, as the lipstick doesn’t fully go back down into the tube and it is easy to smear the lipstick onto the top. Does that make sense? I hope so! Here are the shades I purchased:
Primrose (835)
By far, the easiest color to wear. This shade is a nude pink kind of color and is daytime appropriate. It has some brown undertones and may be a candidate for that 90’s lip that everyone is currently obsessed with. Primrose will head immediately to my work purse for trips to the office.
Petunia (820)
This might be my favorite shade that I picked up. It is a brighter pink color that is still wearable for me, as I am not incredibly bold with my lip color. I can see myself popping this color on during the fall and winter months to brighten up a look, without being too much of a statement.
Iris (850)
This is a more bold, vampy shade. In terms of the color, it reminds me of Wet N Wild Sugar Plum Fairy or MAC Rebel. However, it is not as drying as either of those formulas. This is a shade that I believe will suit most skin tones and is the perfect fall lip color.
Have you tried any of these lipsticks? What is your favorite shade?
