My Radio City Christmas Spectacular Look

Last night I finally saw the Christmas Spectacular at the Radio City Music Hall. It is my last night with Joe in New York City before we head to California for Christmas. Surprisingly the weather is actually warmer here than in California. I opted for a sweater dress and peacoat to match the weather. For this look, I went with a red lip [in the shade venizia]--I might just wear this again on Christmas.

I picked up this caramel peacoat last week & it is still on sale! It is such a steal for a classic look.

Of course I went with my absolute favorite booties

I have gotten so much use out of this crossbody bag! It's good for trekking around the city but also holds enough for a night out.

I got these studs a few years back but the last pair on this set have the same vibe and are beyond affordable.

The show was so much fun. I highly recommend it if you're in the area around Christmas time.

What are your plans for Christmas?

Casual Christmas Outfit [Video]

Scarf [Similar] // Sweater [Similar] // Pants // Boots // Nails // Lips [Ruby Woo]

Yesterday Joe helped me film my first ever outfit video. We are in the midst of vlogmas so naturally I had my vlogging camera on me. We visited some gorgeous hotels to check out the Christmas displays [when you don't have houses with Christmas lights--visit hotels!].

While inside The Peninsula Hotel, we couldn't get over the beautiful lights and decided to film my outfit for some casual Christmas outfit inspiration.

I hope you enjoy it!

What did you get up to this weekend?

Gift Guide For Him Under $50!

Looking for a gift for your father, brother, or special someone? I've got your covered! Today we are getting into the perfect gifts for any guys [under $50!]. These are all products that Joe uses or items I would get him in the future!

For your tech guy, a portable charger is a must and this one even comes on a keychain, how convenient! Another tech-y product I love is this beanie with built-in headphones, how cool! If he is into building things, I recommend this cool book about breaking things down/learning about the process of building.

For your beer-loving dude, you can't go wrong with beer glasses; I like this mason jar glass and this set

For your well-groomed man, I suggest this this shaving set [Joe uses this for travel] or the Dollar Shave Club [Joe did a guest post all about this neat subscription service]. Of course you need some sort of carrying case for the grooming supplies, I recommend this one.

For your cozy fellow, you can't go wrong with pajamas and/or slippers!

I hope this covers all your man gift needs!

Are there any other gift guides you'd like to see before Christmas?

Urban Square Holiday Market in Union Square

Over the past three weeks, Joe and I have been visiting the Urban Square Holiday Market at Union Square. Urban Square is a traveling market in New York City. I stumbled upon them in Herald Square last month and heard they were setting up a holiday market in Union Square through Christmas Eve.

Union Square is the perfect location for this event. The holiday market does not interfere with the Greenmarket [farmer's market] whatsoever on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. I highly recommend checking out both if you go on one of those days!

I've mainly gone at night for dinner. They have a number of local vendors who serve up everything from crepes to tacos to waffles with cookie butter [yes, they are real]. I love all of the lights and they often have live music. After munching on some delicious food, wonder through the stalls. The local vendors sell ornaments, jewelry, and clothing amongst other goods.

My favorite thing about the holiday market is the lebkuchen from Leckerlee. Lebkuchen is traditional German gingerbread. Leckerlee makes their gingerbread by hand in New York City and it is incredible! I recommend the chocolate covered lebkuchen.

The Urban Square Holiday Market at Union Square runs through Christmas Eve, 12/24. It is open every day: weekdays 11 AM-8 PM, Saturdays 10 AM-8 PM, and Sundays 11 AM-7 PM [the weekends are much more crowded]. Check out their website for more information!

It has been ages since I created a bucket list for any season or occasion. Now that I'm living in New York, I have a long list of Christmas activities to check off my list before December 25th. Let's get right into it!

Celebrating Hanukkah!

Last night we finally had the chance to make latkes and celebrate Hanukkah!

We tried out a new latke recipe and they were very simple yet delicious. We paired them with homemade applesauce [my dad's recipe]. We had prepared it a few days before and stored it in the fridge. In case you're interested, here is the recipe:

3 apples (peeled and chopped)
1/3 cup sugar
Ground cinnamon to taste

1) Place apples in food processor
2) Pulse until pureed
3) Pour apples into a pot with water; use enough water to cover the apples
4) Add sugar and cinnamon
5) Cook on low for approximately two hours [will reduce a lot]
6) Store for up to two weeks in the fridge

To make the meal simple, I picked up matzoh ball soup and jelly donuts at Eli's Zabar. We toasted the evening with some local hard apple cider.

Of course we had to display the cute card my mom sent!

Happy Hanukkah [to those of you who celebrate]!

Top Things to Do in New York City During the Holidays

1 // 2 // 3 // 4

Ah New York City during the holidays. So many lights, shows, and decorations. It is the place to be. But with so many options to choose from, what activities should you do?

Don't worry--I've narrowed it down to eight perfect festive activities to fulfill all your holiday wishes.

1. Ice Skate at Rockefellar Center. This is probably one of the most iconic Christmas sights in New York City. Rockefellar Center is transformed during the holidays into a magical spot. Also if you've ever wanted to live out your ice skating dreams from Elf, here is your chance.

2. See the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. I definitely recommend seeing a show around the holidays and why not make it this festive one?

3. Shop at the Macy's in Herald Square The original Macy's has been decked out in Christmas lights for weeks now and it is a sight to behold. Grab a holiday drink at one of the five Starbucks locations and wonder through this giant department store.

4. Union Square Holiday Market. Urban Square features local restaurants and food vendors and travels around the city. During the holidays they set up shop in Union Square and offer a holiday market as well. I highly recommend checking out the fresh gingerbread if you visit!

5. Sip a frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity: Yes--this is where they filmed the iconic Serendipity film back in 2001. It is kind of a must visit sort of thing [if I do say so myself].

6. See the christmas decorations at The Plaza: This luxurious hotel becomes even more decadent around the holidays. I promise it is worth a trip. And who knows--you might even spot Eloise.

7. Go to The Nutcracker at the Lincoln Center. The Nutcracker is my favorite tradition. For the past handful of years, I've gone to see The Nutcracker with my mom in San Francisco. Hopefully a new tradition will be born this year in Lincoln Center when she visits.

8. See the view from the Top of the Rock: This may not be an actual "Christmas" activity but if you are visiting New York [or live here], this is an incredible sight and is appropriate for any time of the year.

Is there anything crucial I forgot? Let me know! :)

Happy Holidays!

Christmas Wish List

Watch // Light Gray Beanie // Yoga Pants // Boots // Charger // Bralette // Adele Album // Beanie // Vest // Calendar // Sports Bra

Happy December! I can't believe how quickly the holidays are approaching. I've been thinking about what I want for Christmas for a while now & have come up with some fun stuff!

For staying warm in the winter, I love the Love Your Melon beanies--they donate 50% of the profits to children's cancer research. I'd love either this one or this one. I am also really enjoying vests for those semi cold days. And I'd love these boots [I have them in brown and they are SO comfortable!].

For staying active in the winter, I am a fan of these yoga pants [I bought a pair during the semi annual sale last year and they are great!]. I also would love this sports bra for higher intensity workouts [like running] and this bralette for yoga. Of course you can't forget music! I LOVE Adele and I am so excited about her new

For the new year, I really need a portable charger to keep my phone running all day. And I want a 2016 calendar [I've used the 2015 version this year and it is beautiful].

What is on your Christmas wish list?
