Chocolate Raspberry Valentine's Day Smoothie!



As I may have derailed some New Year's Resolutions with my latest video, I thought I would share a healthier recipe today! 

One of my favorite combinations around this time of year is chocolate and raspberry (or really any fruit). After I work out or when I need a mid afternoon pick-me-up, I often make a smoothie. I like to throw in some protein powder to make my smoothies a bit more filling. Here is my latest obsession:


Chocolate Raspberry Valentine's Day Smoothie

Ingredients:
1 frozen banana (tip: slice & freeze the night before)
1/2 cup frozen raspberries (strawberries work great too!)
3/4 cup (6 fluid ounces) unsweetened almond milk (plain or vanilla)
1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (omit if using chocolate protein powder)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use Tera's Organic Whey)

Directions:
1) Combine all ingredients into a blender (I use a NutriBullet)
2) Blend until smooth 
3) Pour into a glass & enjoy
OPTIONAL: add a fun straw (I like these heart straws!)
