June Goals

Every month I come up with goals for myself. Sometimes I accomplish them, sometimes I don't. I like to optimistic at the beginning of the month because I often feel like I can conquer the world. This month I am selecting more abstract goals. Last month was a whirlwind in the best way possible. So many aspects of my life changed when I had no idea that they would so suddenly. In the next few months I am going to be completely changing my lifestyle and [hopefully] becoming someone new. I don't anticipate changing my fundamentals or morals, however, I truly believe that my outlook on life  will change with my move and my journey through graduate school. Without fur ado, here are my June goals:

Be Present: With my upcoming move, I want to make the most of my current environment. I want to experience all of joys I find in California. I have a running bucket list of everything I want to do here [maybe a separate post soon?]. I want to focus on the here and now. When I was in Mexico, I felt so in the moment and it made my trip infinitely more memorable. I want to continue with that this month.

Have Fun: To go along with my last goal, I want to check off items from my California bucket list. I want to go to the beach. I want to eat at my favorite restaurants. I want to hike. I want to take in all the views and soak in everything this area has to offer.

Spend Time With Family And Friends: This may seem cheesy or something you would say if you were dying but it's true. I will soon be far away from most of the important people in my life. I want to have as much quality time with them now as I can [even though we will have Skype and occasional visits].

Tackle My To Do Lists: With the anxiety that comes along with a big move, someone suggested I start a to do list of all the things that are worrying me that I can tackle now. There is so much unknown and many things I can't deal with until I've moved. Having smaller details I can sort out now will prevent me from worrying [or at least to an extent].

Work On My Scrapbook: I purchased all the Project Life supplies at the beginning of the year and have barely worked on my scrapbook. I have been collecting stickers and paper. I need to get my pictures together and printed ASAP! I want scrapbooking to be enjoyable so I don't want it to build up anymore.

That is all I've come up with so far. What are your June goals?
