Planner 101: Planning Essentials

My love of planners has grown exponentially in the past six months. I have used planners ever since I can remember [early high school]. Around the holidays I discovered all the amazing planner girls on Etsy. I have been trying out different stickers and determining what planning style works for me. I am starting this series to share my love of planning. Currently I am using a Lilly Pulitzer Agenda; this hasn't worked out as well as I'd hoped [it's ideal for college students]. I am switching to an Erin Condren Life Planner when the new releases come out! For this post, I am focusing on my planning essentials.

Pens: This may seem obvious by not all pens are the same. I personally use Frixion Colors Erasable Pens--plans change and I hate crossing out or whiting out appointments [these pens really work!]. I also love these crown pens for the cuteness factor [pictured above].

Washi Tape: I use washi tape to decorate the edges of my weekly and monthly spreads. It adds a fun touch to each week. I generally purchase my washi tape at Michael's or the Target Dollar Spot

Paper Clips: I use paper clips to section off my current week; it makes my life easier when flipping through my planner.

Stickers: The highlight of my planner decorating experience. I did a post on my favorite Etsy shops. I will need to create an updated post because I have discovered so many more shops since then! My current favorite is ScribblePrintsCo. I store my stickers in these little photo books from Walmart. They were only $1 each!

What are your planning essentials? What topic should I cover next in this series?
