The Perfect Green Smoothie



The weather has been heating up recently and I want nothing more than a refreshing drink. Smoothies don't often fill me up so I have created a green smoothie that is packed with filling ingredients, nutrients, and flavor. The avocado and hemp seeds add some healthy fat and keep me full. The spinach is packed with vitamin a, manganese, folate and vitamin k. The fruit adds sweetness as well as fiber and additional vitamins. This smoothie is well rounded and is the perfect meal! Serve it in a hollowed out pineapple for that extra summer touch :) 


Green Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 Cup Frozen Mango
1 Banana
1/4 Cup Pineapple
2 Cups Frozen Spinach
1 Cup Almond Milk [or liquid of choice]
1/2 Avocado 
1 Tbsp Hemp Hearts or Hemp Seeds

Directions:

1) Combine all ingredients into a blender; I use a NutriBullet
2) Blend until smooth
3) Pour into a glass [or hollow pineapple!]

Pineapple Glass Directions:
-Slice off top of pineapple
-Slice a circle around the core 
-Remove bulk of pineapple with a spoon
-Level the base of the pineapple with a knife [if necessary]
