Valentine's Day Breakfast Ideas!

Hey everyone! I'm glad that we are finally halfway through the week and one day closer to our three-day weekend!

I am excited that Valentine's Day falls on a weekend once again this year. My favorite way to spend holiday mornings is lounging in bed and enjoying a homemade breakfast. For this reason, I want to share some delicious Valentine's-inspired breakfast ideas.

Pancakes are by far one of my favorite breakfast foods. I think these strawberry pancake skewers would make for an adorable breakfast-in-bed.

For a simple recipe, go with the classic eggs-in-a-hole--use a small heart-shaped cookie cutter to remove the center of a slice of bread. Fry up the toast on a pan with a little oil and drop an egg into the center. Flip to evenly cook both slides. Toast the heart-shaped bread center and top with your favorite jam!

I love a good smoothie at any time of the day. Last year I shared a chocolate raspberry smoothie--this makes for a delicious & healthy breakfast option.

For a decadent option, go for nutella french toast--your girl loves nutella on absolutely anything. I promise you can't go wrong with this meal!

In the spirit of the holiday, celebrate with a strawberry mimosa! Mimosas are my personal favorite brunch drink and this Valentine's version is perfect for this special day.

And finally...I once took Joe and his friend, Tom, to breakfast at an acai bowl (aka fruit bowl) shop. Upon looking down at his bowl, Tom asked, "where's the meat?". For all the Toms of the world: here's the meat. Try out these bacon-egg breakfast bites to meet your savory breakfast needs.

I hope you enjoy one or more of these recipes this Valentine's Day!

What are your plans for the big day?
