Delicious Doughnuts in Philadelphia!

On Friday, Joe and I decided to make a pit stop in Philadelphia on our way back to the city after Thanksgiving [we spent our Thanksgiving with a friend’s family in PA–vlog coming soon!]. Per our friend’s recommendation, we stopped at Reading Terminal Market. This indoor market offers a wide variety of restaurants and local food, mixed in with cute little gift shops. The place was absolutely packed. We grabbed sandwiches for lunch [obviously Joe got a Philly Cheesesteak].
After lunch, we checked out Beiler’s, a Pennsylvania Dutch shop that has a restaurant, doughnut shop and salad bar. Of course we wanted to try the doughnuts they make on site!
While you wait in line you can watch the employees go to work, preparing dozens of wonderful doughnuts.
They use this rolling cookie cutter type device to create tons of perfect doughnuts.
After the doughnuts are fried, someone will fill the doughnuts with an assortment of cremes. They had everything from peanut butter creme to oreo creme. It looked incredible.
We were very surprised that each doughnut was just under a dollar! Such a bargain!
We opted to enjoy our doughnuts outside [all of the tables were packed].
If you are ever in the Philly area, I highly recommend checking out Reading Terminal Market and Beiler’s
How was your Thanksgiving?
