“It’s an odd thing but anyone who disappears is said to be seen in San Francisco.”
– Oscar Wilde

Last weekend Joe & I went up to San Francisco for a show, which happened to be in the Mission. The Mission is one of my favorite neighborhoods – there are some great restaurants, shopping, cute apartments, and of course, Delores Park.

Activities

Delores Park: This is the best spot for a picnic or a leisurely afternoon

Shopping: Valencia Street has tons of fun boutiques

Restaurants

Tacolicious: I’ve been a fan of Tacolicious for years – we even own their cookbook!

Rhea’s Deli & Market: For all your picnic needs – I love a good sandwich!

Sweater (currently 50% off!) / Bottoms (Plus) / Mules / Wristlet

Sweets

Le Marais Bakery: Family-owned cafe with classic French dishes & incredible pastries (the treat pictured above is a peppermint croissant twist!)

Dandelion Chocolate: Small batch artisanal chocolate! My favorite items are the classic hot chocolate, European drinking chocolate, s’more, and the chef’s tasting. They also offer tours and classes!

Bi-Rite Creamery: Handmade & small batch with high quality ingredients

Tartine Bakery: It may seem crazy to include a bakery I’ve never been to but it’s high on my list & it’s a San Francisco classic!

Since we just moved back to the area, I feel like there is so much more to explore. I’m excited to expand this as I discover new restaurants and activities! For more recommendations and updates, I highly recommend following along on Instagram.

Please comment with your favorite spots in the Mission!
