I've been considering a capsule wardrobe for ages but never bit the bullet because it seemed like too much planning. I recently started to feel like I didn't have any clothing I love, which I know isn't true. As I started taking inventory of my closet, I decided to give a fall capsule wardrobe a shot. I'm (by no means) an expert, however, I still wanted to give you a peek into my fall capsule wardrobe. I picked a lot of pieces I already owned. Of course, I still picked up a few things too. I linked exact pieces, when I could. Otherwise I found some very similar (and affordable) options. Hope this helps you plan your fall outfits!

Fall Capsule Wardrobe 2022

Tops

Plaid Shirt: This top was one of my favorite purchases last year. Unfortunately this exact color is no longer available but the other colors are great. This is so comfy and soft. It's great on a day that isn't quite cold enough for a jacket but still warrants a warm top.

Beige Sweater: I'm so glad this sweater is still available. I've had it for two or three years and it's perfection. It's a great length. It's soft. It goes well with jeans, leggings, or white jeans. It's lightweight so it works well for most seasons. It's my go to for the office too.

Burnt Orange Sweater: This isn't my exact sweater (sadly), however, it's super cute and only $10! No fall wardrobe is complete without a sweater this color.

Lightweight Plaid Shirt: This is a new piece for me this season. I didn't have any darker plaid and I love this one. It comes in tons of colors and is at a great price point. 

Black Sweater: Black sweaters are classic and an essential for fall. You can pair it with jeans, skirts, or even shorts. It's a staple for me.

Puff-Sleeve Blouse: I like a lightweight blouse in a neutral color. You can pair it with dark or white jeans and possibly a cardigan. Mules or ankle boots would be a nice touch too.

Bottoms

Dark Jeans: Dark denim is a staple for me year round. I've been a fan of these high waist skinny jeans for a while. I don't care if skinny jeans are trendy or not - I will always love them!

Black Distressed Jeans: I've had these in my closet for a couple years and always find myself gravitating towards them. They are so comfortable, especially for my body type (apple shaped).

Faux Leather Leggings: The classic faux leather leggings are always a good addition to a fall capsule wardrobe. These high quality leggings pair well with a flannel or sweater. You can easily dress up or down your look.

Brown Skirt: I own a similar skirt to this one and it's a great piece in my closet. I've paired it with a chunky white sweaters and mules in the past. 

Dresses

Puff-Sleeve Plaid Dress: This is a new addition to my closet this fall. It's such a cute and easy dress. Plaid is always a win in my book. I love the puff sleeves and smocked waist. I plan to pair this with mules or ankle boots.

Mock Neck Sweater Dress: I've had a similar sweater dress for a couple years and it's a solid neutral piece to wear alone or with a cute scarf.

Yellow Floral Dress: Yellow is a good fall option that can also be used in the spring. I have a similar dress that I adore and works for tons of occasions. 

Shoes

Mules: Mules are the best for fall. I wear mine alllll the time. They are an easy and comfortable option for the office. They are also nice enough for dinner or a date night.

Ankle Boots: I've been searching for wide width ankle boots for far too long. I just came across these and they are a great fit!

Sneakers: These are the most comfortable, supportive sneakers I've ever worn in my life. I'm on my second pair because I literally wear them almost every day. I walked miles and miles in them on two New York City trips in the past year. I highly recommend.

Accessories

Rose Gold Hoops: These are the perfect fall accessory to pair with dresses or jeans and a sweater. 

Gucci Camera Bag: I love this bag! I use it alllll the time. It's the ideal size for a crossbody bag. It fits my wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, and even a snack. 

Wayfarer Sunglasses: I've been wearing wayfarers since 2010. I've gone through a few pairs and I continue to repurchase them because they are classic.
