I might be more excited for Galentine's Day than Valentine's Day this year! If you're unfamiliar, the concept of Galentine's Day originated from the show, Parks and Rec. Leslie Knope, main character, introduced the idea in season two of the show. Leslie gathers her friends for a waffle brunch to celebrate the ladies in her life. To quote Leslie Knope: “Every February 13, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home and we just come and kick it, breakfast style. Ladies celebrating ladies.” There are plenty of fun things you can do with your friends this year. Hopefully these Galentine's Day ideas will spark some inspiration for your celebration!

10 Cute Galentine's Day Ideas Your Friends Will Love

1. Brunch - I had to start with the obvious choice: brunch! I'm excited to celebrate Galentine's Day with my ladies this year over brunch. We're heading to the beautiful Son & Garden this weekend. I can't wait!

2. DIY Flower Arrangements - I saw a cute Instagram reel today with some girl date inspiration. The creator bought a bunch of bouquets from Trader Joe's and set them out with ribbons and paper. She wrote on the mirror (behind the supplies): I can't buy myself flowers. This is such a fun idea and nod to the new trendy Miley song. I love that this is a hands on activity and can be done super affordably.

3. Cooking Class - There are loads of great options for cooking classes. I personally love Sur La Table classes. You can also find options on Air BnB experiences. For a budget friendly option, grab ingredients from the grocery store and follow along with a YouTube cooking tutorial.

4. Move Night - Pick out the cheesiest rom coms and grab your favorite snacks. Nothing beats popcorn and cute Valentine's candy. These sour pucker lip gummies are excellent. For movies, I recommend Pitch Perfect, Clueless, and Bridesmaids.

5. Charcuterie Night - I saw this great idea over the holidays where each person brings a different type of "charcuterie board" for a girls night. You could do a candy board or an Italian board or a sushi board. Get creative!

6.  Paint Nite - Another idea my girlfriends and I were considering was a paint nite. These are wonderful because everything is organized for you and no one needs to host. If you google "paint nite near me", you'll find some local options. These typically involve painting along with an instructor and sipping wine. Perfect evening!

7. Afternoon Tea - I adore high tea. In fact, Joe and I are even going to afternoon tea this weekend. There's something about a tiered stand, teapots and cute decor. If you don't know of any tea spots near you, check fancy hotels. They often offer weekend tea service.

8. Secret Cupid - Similar to Secret Santa, this is a fun way to exchange gifts but not break the bank. Organize a gift swap amongst your friends and set a reasonable price limit. Think flowers, candles, slippers, books - these all would make great gifts.

9. Spa Day - This is sure to be a hit. Look for a spa near you that offers day passes. This will allow you to use amenities, such as saunas, steam rooms and pools. When I lived in New York, I visited SoJo Spa (New Jersey) with girlfriends and we made a whole day out of it.

10. Game Night - I personally love a game night. It's always more fun to play games with a group of friends (rather than just Joe, haha). Pick out some favorite games, order pizza and make a night of it.
